Anna explains how Kaplan study boosted her radio career

I work for the Moscow radio station, Business FM, where being able to speak English well is a must. Studying at Kaplan’s Chicago Downtown School really improved my English; now I could easily chat in English all day long!

I visited Kaplan’s Chicago school twice, as I loved the city so much, and I still want to go back again. First I joined Kaplan’s Intensive English language course in 2009 to maximise my integration into English culture, which helped me break the so-called ‘language barrier’. In 2010 I studied a General course to refresh my English, and I now use my English skills at work to interview lots of foreign speakers.

I chose Kaplan because they’re well known in the English courses abroad sector and got back to me immediately when I enquired about the course. I’m glad I chose them, as my teacher, Sharon Pines, was the greatest English teacher I’ve ever had! Her lessons were useful and not at all boring – I learnt a lot.

I loved the school’s computer facilities and convenient central location, which was great for sightseeing and transport links. I got to experience incredible festivities in Millennium Park, plus Green Mill and the fresh air of the marvellous Lake Michigan. I met many amazing friends here and have kept in touch with almost everyone through Facebook and Skype.

I stayed in I-House in a beautiful area near Hyde Park and the University of Chicago and I loved it! I didn’t have any problems during my stay, but if I did, I’m sure Kaplan staff would’ve helped me solve them.

So would I recommend Kaplan International Colleges? Sure I would! Hey everybody, go to Kaplan’s Chicago Downtown School!
